Personal information that you provide voluntarily is only available to our employees managing this information and to contracted service providers for the purposes of providing services relating to our communications with you. Registering to Use the HOP Websites:

You may elect to register as a user of a HOP Website. A registered user is one who has elected to establish an ongoing, personalized experience with HOP through our website and related resources. A registered user will most often be a customer of heating fuel or related services. We may use personal information you submit to us as a registered user to manage your account. Additionally, we may use your personal information, whether acquired online or through some other means, for ordinary business transactions, such as scheduling fuel deliveries, reviewing service history, and facilitating payments. All payments or transaction that you carry out through the HOP Websites are processed by a third party vendor in accordance with such vendor’s policies, terms, and conditions. HOP does not retain any of your credit card or other payment information and is not liable for the security, actions, or performance of its payment processor.

Opt-Out Right:

You can let us know if you do not wish to receive communications or information from us by opting out at the time you give us your personal information or thereafter by sending us an email at

If you want to stop using your account you may deactivate it. When you deactivate your account, you will not be able to use our online services and your information will not be capable of being viewed through the HOP Websites. You may also request that HOP remove from its system any personal information you had previously provided. However, even after you submit a request to delete your information or deactivate your account, copies of your information including but not limited to name and email address may be retained by us as backup copies for legal and compliance reasons.

Security and Protection of Personal Information:

All personal information you provide to us through the HOP Websites is stored on secure servers operated by us or our third party providers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted using Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and processed by a third party vendor. You acknowledge that ownership of all right, title, and interest to HOP intellectual property, which shall include without limitation, all trademarks and copyright, including, in all Content, and the components and source code of the HOP Websites and any features of the HOP Websites, shall remain vested solely in HOP. You further acknowledge that ownership of any improvements to the HOP Websites or any new programs, upgrades, modifications, or enhancements, even when such refinements result from your submission, feedback, or request, are and shall remain vested solely in HOP.

HOP respects the intellectual property and proprietary rights of others and we ask you do the same. You should assume that all text, designs, graphics, and images that you find on our Sites are subject to copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property or proprietary rights. Unauthorized use of any Content may violate intellectual property or other proprietary laws. You authorize HOP to cooperate with intellectual property owners who claim that you have infringed or may infringe on their proprietary rights.
